Agreeing to these terms
These terms cover your use of this website, starting from our home page, and any work you hire Baseline Murrieta Concrete to do. By using the site, asking for an estimate or booking a job with us, you agree to them.
If you don't agree with these terms, please don't use the site or book work with us. If a written estimate or agreement we both sign says something different from these terms, the signed document controls for that job.
What we do
Baseline Murrieta Concrete is a licensed and insured concrete contractor in Murrieta, CA. We build and repair driveways, patios, sidewalks, garage floors, steps, retaining walls, footings, foundations and other flatwork, the flat slabs around a home or business. You can read more about who we are on our About page.
The service descriptions on this site are general. The exact work on your job, including the size, thickness, finish and any removal of old concrete, is whatever your written estimate or agreement lists.
Estimates and pricing
We give free estimates at your property, with no obligation. We base each estimate on what we can see and measure that day, so the price reflects the size of the job, the slab thickness, access for our trucks and crew, the base work needed, the finish you pick and whether old concrete has to come out.
Some things only show up once the old slab is broken out or the ground is dug, such as soft soil, roots or buried lines. If we find something that changes the work or the price, we'll stop and explain it to you, and we won't do the extra work until you approve the change in writing.
An estimate holds for the period written on it, because material and concrete prices change. After that, we may need to update the price before we schedule the job.
Scheduling, weather and cancellation
The dates we give you are our best plan, not a promise to the day. We may move a pour for rain, extreme heat or wind, because concrete placed in the wrong conditions can set too fast and come out weak, and we'd rather wait a day than pour a slab that won't last. We'll tell you as soon as we know a date has to move.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, let us know as early as you can. If we've already ordered concrete, rebar, the steel that reinforces the slab, or other materials, or have started prep work, you may owe for those costs as your written agreement describes.
Your part of the job
We need clear access to the work area on the scheduled days, with vehicles, furniture and pets out of the way. Please tell us before we start about anything buried that we can't see, such as sprinkler lines, low-voltage lighting or private utility lines, because those aren't part of the public utility markings.
New concrete needs time to cure, the wait while it hardens and gains strength, before you walk or drive on it. We'll give you the times for your job, and damage from using the slab early, or from loads heavier than the slab was built for, isn't something we can be responsible for.
Some jobs need a permit from the city or county. Your written agreement says who is responsible for getting it, and if it doesn't, please ask us before work begins.
Payment
Your estimate or agreement lists any deposit, when each payment is due and how you can pay. The balance is due when the work is complete unless your agreement sets a different schedule.
If a balance goes unpaid, we'll reach out to you first to sort it out. If it still isn't paid, we may use any collection steps the law allows.
Warranty and what concrete can and can't do
We stand behind our work, and if something isn't right, call us at (951) 477-4538 so we can come look at it. Any specific written warranty on your job is the one in your signed agreement.
Concrete shrinks as it dries and moves with the ground, so small hairline cracks can show up even on a slab with a well-packed base and control joints, the cut lines that give the slab a planned place to crack. Hairline cracks like these are normal and aren't a defect in the work.
Our work doesn't cover damage from things outside our control, such as soil movement beyond the area we prepared, tree roots, drainage changes made after we finish, chemicals, misuse or early use of the slab. Except for any written warranty in your agreement and any warranty the law requires, we make no other warranties, stated or implied, to the extent the law allows.
Information on this website
What you read on this site is general information about concrete work to help you plan. It isn't engineering advice for your property, and we may update it at any time without notice.
If this site links to another company's website or tool, we don't control that site and aren't responsible for its content or how it handles your information.
Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, Baseline Murrieta Concrete isn't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, such as lost use of your property, related to this website or our work. Our total liability for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that California law doesn't allow a business to limit.
If we disagree
If you have a problem with our work or a bill, call us first, because most issues get settled fastest by talking them through on site. We'll listen and work in good faith to fix it.
If we can't settle it that way, either of us may bring the matter to the proper court in Riverside County, California, including small claims court where the amount qualifies. We can also agree in writing to use a neutral mediator before going to court.
Which law applies
These terms and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of California.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time and post the new version on this page. A job covered by a signed agreement stays under the terms in place when you signed it.
If you have a question about these terms, reach us through our Contact page or call (951) 477-4538.
